Counsel

Job Summary

  1. Lead negotiator for transactions, excluding complex transactions.
  2. Overseeing quality of output.
  3. Providing direction on tactics, research and contextual awareness.
  4. Liaison point with business on the above.
  5. Supporting the Al Tayer Group legal function by providing legal expertise and services, including:

(i)              supporting the internal business units in strategy and execution of corporate objectives;

(ii)             reviewing, amending and approving legal structures and contracting methods.

(iii)            providing subject matter expertise for compliance and governance.

(iv)           Leading contractual negotiations with external lawyers and/or counterparties and

(v)             Ensuring internal stakeholders are fully aware of the risks, mitigations and key legal issues in any contractual commitment for the Group.

Education/Certification and Continued Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 8 years post qualification experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid knowledge of regional and applicable international legal and regulatory guidelines and framework.
  • Good business and commercial acumen, networking and interpersonal skills, influencing skills, negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and decision-making skills, communication and presentation skills.

Languages

Proficiency in English language.
