Product Development Manager – Gas Turbines

You are a Project Development Manager who is solution-driven and customer-oriented. You start your day motivated to meet new and existing customers and identify opportunities for Gas Turbine solutions that will impact positively the customer operations and help them achieve their production and plant objectives, while protecting and modernizing our fleet. You are self-driven, have a collaborative spirit, and strive every day to understand customer needs and drivers that allow you to put forward solid technical arguments and support building business cases that transform into successful sales.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Oversee the overall sales development process for key Modernization and Upgrades (M&U) Projects for industrial and aeroderivative Gas Turbines in the Middle East – Responsible for identification of leads, technical solution elaboration, strategy setting and development of opportunities in conjunction with the client managers in the region.
- Understand, co-develop and promote technical solutions for complex projects towards our external clients in the Middle East, based on their requirements and operational/commercial conditions.
- Perform a liaison function between internal and external clients and Gas Turbine Product Competence Centers globally to ensure we put forward the best solutions available in our portfolio, and suggest new ones if required.
- Collaborate with our engineering teams and proposal teams during the preparation of proposals, ensuring these are submitted on time and according to customer expectations.
- Work closely with Product Development Managers and Client Managers in developing and prioritizing opportunities in accordance to the business pipeline.
- Support the Proposal Team as a technical interface, ensuring proposals are accurate and include valuable technological improvements.
- Lead and prepare feasibility and engineering studies as needed.
- Support the transactional/standard business as needed.
- Develop capabilities within the regional engineering team.
What You Bring
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Must be experienced with gas turbine technology/design/markets and the Energy and Oil&Gas industry. Strong familiarization with aeroderivative Siemens Energy portfolio is preferred.
- Customer oriented and business driven. Proactive and willing to take on new responsibilities, with a high level of ownership culture.
- Good customer communication skills – must be able to guide clients to the best solution for all parties.
- Experienced and skilled at quickly deciphering, and writing, quality and complex technical proposals.
- Organized working style to manage several projects simultaneously and work collaboratively/coordinate diverse teams across organizational boundaries.
- Education – Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Years experience > 8 years.
- Travel (both local and international) – 35 %
