Job Purpose

  • Assists the administration of more complex projects. Monitors and schedules the flow of materials, components, assemblies, and inventory. Performs detailed inventory analyses and addresses problems in an effort to keep system data accuracy high, excess inventory minimized, and manufacturing plans on schedule. Ensure that products are available in the right quantities, at the right locations, and at the right times to meet customer demands while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency

Job Description

  • Determines the sources of the components (to make or to buy) per current operation sourcing strategy and updates demands into the system
  • Coordinates with Engineering Class 1 & 2 ECNs as they affect inventory and schedules. May handle multiples project plans simultaneously
  • Responsible for inventory consumption to meet project prioritization efforts
  • Analyzes supply and demand of inventory and long-lead parts and takes corrective actions as needed to alleviate schedule impacts or excess inventory
  • Analyzes and corrects excess supply orders in the ERP system • Works without regular direct supervision
  • Executes inventory carrying, usage, and planning decisions based on own research and decision-making without consultation with Manager
  • Makes assessments about supply/demand issues, recommends thorough solutions, and takes initiatives to address issues with little or no direct input from supervisors
  • May provide guidelines to less experienced planners and other functions in specific planning and problem-solving activities
  • Reviews and develops solutions for sourcing to meet the near and midterm inventory forecast and monitors the flow of inventory throughout projects
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments to gather information and historical data to accurately forecast future demand for products. This involves using statistical models, market trends, and other factors to predict how much of each product will be needed.
  • Actively decreases inventory through creative supply and stocking practices, and limits conversion of inventory to excess and obsolete.
  • Updates Material Master as per planning parameters to drive systematic conformance to inventory planning processes.
  • Manages Safety Stock levels considering lead times, supplier capabilities, transportation logistics, and order quantities.
  • Regularly analyze inventory data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize inventory management processes. This may involve using tools like inventory turnover ratios, days of inventory on hand.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Technical Diploma, Bachelors Degree or equivalent expierience
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience relevant inventory planning, industry expierince a plus
  • Knowledge of API Q1/Q2 and TechnipFMC processes and specifications

Skills

Additional Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, writing and presentation skills.  Good English essential, Arabic an advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to coordinate resources to meet customer requirements within a team environment
  • Competent in busines systems including Microsoft Office Suite, ServiceMax, InteServ
  • Expert in SAP materials management
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service
