Unit Sales Manager

Overview

To lead his/her unit sales team to achieve remarkable results by making our brands available, visible and irresistible. Also create valuable partnerships with his/her customers to deliver mutually beneficial and sustained performance.

Responsibilities

Customer Management

Is responsible of leading and executing the joint business plan for his or her customers that delivers Transmed’s business objectives, works with customer strategy and delivers new consumer insight driven growth opportunities.

Manages his/ her customer relationships through implementing the agreed specific business plans via effective negotiation, persuasion and conflict management/resolution.

Negotiate yearly KBD agreements to deliver on sales fundamental goals for set of customers assigned.

Is responsible to ensure that all customer data and information required to support the customer relationship is shared in a timely manner and within the agreed time frame.

Ensures self and team has a deep understanding of Transmed and customer strategy, shoppers and consumers.

Supervises the execution of the True-score cards with a set of customers.

Create a personal relationship with the customers’ by sharing valuable business information, market and product updates

Sales & Initiative Planning

Responsible to supervise the execution of the sales target plans for his/her unit.

Needs to monitor and report all sales driver activities, customer satisfaction/feedback and communicates results both internally and externally.

Shares recommendations with management in order to beat the competition post analyzing Sales/Market trends

Is responsible of developing customer specific concept sells, in-store brand guidelines and sales deployment tools.

Ensures that Sales performance reporting systems used to forecast, monitor and manage the business are accurate

Must be able to respond to a dynamic business environment that is constantly changing and determine key actions to resolve challenges

Financial Acumen

Responsible to lead negotiation of commercial terms within the Trade Term guidelines

Delivers Sales Volume and Market Share Targets for his/her unit.

Track and manage the trade budgets efficiently and effectively to ensure the highest possible Return On Investment with no overspending.

Commercialize joint value creation with his/her customers by tracking true profitability.

Account Receivables

Responsible to ensure 100% his/her customers are reconciled as per the agreed timelines

Dealing with Suppliers

Engage and share trade updates, business opportunities, and valuable industry knowledge with suppliers

Understand the supplier’s strategy and design plans accordingly

Capture supplier feedback and act in real time

Dealing with Category Managers

Share timely in-store execution highlights, reports, business reviews, and recaps with category managers

Engage with category management team to set plans based on customer specific business opportunities

Dealing with Field Execution Team

Ensure timely communication and tracking of monthly executions and work on resolving issues along with the field execution

Conduct field visits to identify opportunities and ensure 100% agreement compliance. Share field visit reports with field execution team with corrective joint actions.

People Development

Provides his/her team with adequate coaching and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain organizational excellence.

Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.

Identify managerial talent among developmental team members in order to ensure continuity, staff loyalty and succession planning

Energize the Sales team and build the adequate motivation levels in order to achieve the desired sales results

Create a “winning” and “collaborative” environment among his/her team members.

Qualifications

  • University Graduate, BA
  • 4 Years Managerial Experience
  • 6 years in a sales role
  • Experience in UAE Market
