We are currently seeking an ambitious UAE National to be part of HSBC Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Team in Dubai to support key functions in terms of overall relationship support/management, client servicing and operational support and Credit support.
In this role, you will:
• Provide proactive business development support to Multinational relationship managers in all aspects of the client portfolio to achieve their assigned targets.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure timely resolution of any issues escalated for the attention of Relationship Managers.
• Coordinate with internal support teams and product partners in order to ensure that an exceptional level of service is always provided
• Coordinate with compliance team in order to make sure that HSBC is complying with financial crime guidelines when it comes to clients’ dealing.
• Effectively manage money laundering, counter terrorist financing, fraud and reputational risk.
• Ensure prompt and appropriate response to client enquiries and concerns by problem solving and facilitating the process by liaising with product and support areas.
• Work with line manager and the Team Leader in identifying strategies to maintain / enhance overall relationship return, increase revenues while optimizing the utilization of credit facilities, and ensure early identification of potential credit issues.
• Work with the Credit Analysis Unit (CAU) on the preparation of structured and focused credit memorandums for clients within the sectors, covering annual reviews and new money proposals.
• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external policies, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.
• Maintain HSBC values and internal standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by the relevant stakeholders.
• Undertake all required activities as agreed in annual objectives, in support of achieving the business objectives of Corporate and Institutional Banking.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Experience/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar preferred
• Understanding of risk management and the use of credit mitigants.
• Strong financial analysis capability
• Ability to undertake in depth review of industry, competitors, client and products and provide a high quality analysis of Credit risk.
• Ability to learn banking regulations.
• Ability to develop good working partnerships with credit and product areas.
• Ability to provide marketing support to Relationship Managers.
• Ability to establish rapport with appropriate members of client’s management team.
• Ability to provide good analytical support to Relationship Managers.
• Acceptable IT skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
• Ability to research and develop themes for business meetings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong team player.
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
