Security Guard

Overview

• The School Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a secure environment within the school premises. This includes ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to emergencies. The Security Guard will patrol school grounds, monitor surveillance equipment, and interact with students and staff to promote a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring Access:
  • Ensure that only authorized personnel and visitors enter the school premises.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Check identification and verify the purpose of any visitors or contractors on school property.

  Patrolling:

  • Regularly patrol school grounds, including hallways, parking lots, and outdoor areas.
  • Report and investigate any suspicious activity or behavior around the premises.
  • Ensure all doors and windows are secure and report any maintenance or security issues.

  Emergency Response:

  • Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security incidents.
  • Assist in evacuations or lockdowns during emergency situations.
  • Work with local authorities, such as police or fire departments, when needed.

  Surveillance:

  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to identify potential security risks.
  • Report any system malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.

  Interaction with Students and Staff:

  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence within the school to deter potential threats and promote safety.
  • Assist students, staff, and visitors as needed, providing directions and guidance.
  • Build a positive relationship with students, staff, and faculty to foster a sense of trust and security.

  Incident Reporting:

  • Document and report any security incidents, accidents, or breaches in the safety of the school.
  • Prepare detailed reports of daily activities and any unusual occurrences.

  Preventive Measures:

  • Assist in implementing and enforcing school safety policies, including monitoring student behavior and reporting violations.
  • Help in conducting safety drills and awareness sessions, such as fire or lockdown drills.
