Responsibilities
- Continuous promotion of, and adherence to, the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement
- Support the development and delivery of the technical assurance framework
- Monitor compliance with competence standards
- Participate in incident investigations as required
- Set performance expectations for direct reports
- Actively maintain own competence and continuous development
- Provide discipline support to the business
- Ensure learning opportunities are captured and realized
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation
- Oversee Piping Engineering work being carried out by EPC contractors for major greenfield and brownfield projects as part of the Clients PMT
- Promote effective communication and challenge within the EPC Contractors Engineering team in order to foster the production of safe, cost-effective, fit for purpose, and constructible Piping designs
- Attend daily/weekly engineering progress meetings and generate status reports as required
- Provide resolution for technical Piping engineering problems, coordinate application of solutions
- Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
- Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the piping discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines
- Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements

Expected:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position in mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers
- Offshore EPC experience is a must, while ADNOC experience is desired
- Experience of working in a multi-project/multi-disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
