Your responsibilities include:

• Meet with clients to understand their design goals, preferences, and functional requirements for their interior spaces to develop a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
• Develop creative design concepts and themes that align with the desired aesthetics and functionality of the space.
• Create mood boards, sketches, or renderings to visually communicate their ideas.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, colors, and textures that enhance the design concept and consider factors like durability, maintenance requirements, sustainability, and the desired atmosphere.
• Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and sections from conceptual designs.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including furniture layouts, finishes, and fixtures.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure material availability and compliance with design specifications.
• Source and specify furniture, fixtures, lighting, and other interior elements that align with the design concept and meet the functional and aesthetic needs of the space.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients through visual presentations, such as 2D or 3D renderings, mood boards, and samples. Effectively communicate design intent, aesthetics, and functionality to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the design and construction process. Communicate design intent, resolve issues, and ensure seamless integration of design elements.
• Foster strong and positive relationships with clients. Provide exceptional customer service, address client concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the design process.

What you will need:

• A bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field is required. Relevant coursework in design principles, space planning, drafting, and CAD software is beneficial.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Design Software: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other similar tools is essential. Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
• Strong design sensibility and the ability to generate innovative and visually appealing concepts. Knowledge of colour theory, materials, and finishes, as well as an understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance in design development and documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate design ideas and collaborate
  with team members and clients. Proficiency in creating visually appealing presentations using
  design software.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in design documentation, material selection, and project execution. Strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges and find creative solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
