Supplier Performance Manager-Emirati Nationals
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Thales in the UAE is part of our Middle East business that has 1,800 people across Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, KSA, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and UAE. We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions, cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabi’s airport.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the management of the industrial performances of his portfolio.
- Work in close relationships with Purchase, Industrial and Quality teams.
- Act as a performance Industrial project manager; therefore has to build and maintain all the conditions, internal and external, enabling performances.
- Accountable for the factories supplies in terms of quality and on time deliveries during the production or the support period after the FAI (First Article Inspection) milestone.
- Main mission is to achieve the SKPIs (Suppliers Key Processes Indicators) objectives, SOTD (Supplier On Time Delivery) and SOCD (Supplier On Conformity Delivery) defined by the organization.
- Be involved before the FAI during the development phase.
- In a disruptive innovation approach for the improvement of the global performance: operational, competitiveness, services, footprint, he identifies and participates to the deployment of the levers enabling optimizations through all the product life cycle: design, production and support.
- Organize and conduct the suppliers performance reviews with the purchase department
- Validate and issue the SKPIs for his portfolio
- Establish a monthly reporting for his portfolio
- Prepare and participate to the Suppliers Performance Committees ( SuPerCo)
- Transmit the SKPIs to the group level
- Monitor and report on a regularly basis the global performance action plan addressing two main topics: quality and punctuality
- In order to manage the continuous improvement, put in place the Thales best practices, including lean manufacturing, with his suppliers:
- Responsible for the deployment of corrective and preventive action plans which address process, product, or component alerts from industrial operations, customer line fit manufactures, or the field support organization.
- Act as a conduit to improve the overall interface between Thales and the Supplier, using lessons learned for the continuous improvement of both parties.
- Develop and execute plans to eliminate the need for non-value add activities (e.g. the Seven Wastes, MUDA) in both Thales and Supplier processes, consistent with improving the quality and reliability of procured items
- Deploy techniques including Six Sigma, DMAIC or Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify and evaluate the potential failures of process, prioritize actions to alleviate risk in both Thales and Supplier activities.
- In case of quality or delivery crisis, lead the Task Force with his network.
