The University of Sharjah (UOS or Sharjah University) is an Emirati private national university located in University City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It was established on 1997 by its founder, supreme president and chairman, the ruler of Sharjah HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi to meet the emirate of Sharjah's aim of educational needs.
Sponsorships Officer
As a Sponsorship Officer, you are expected to assist in the development of sponsorship plans, securing funding for various events, and implementing strategies that will help the University of Sharjah achieve its goals by managing the sponsorship process, from identifying potential sponsors that align with UOS’s goals and values to executing sponsorship agreements and partnerships with suitable national and international entities.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential sponsors that will provide the most value and exposure by analyzing market trends, competitor sponsorships, and industry insights. As well as by identifying the target audience for each event and understanding the University’s objectives.
- Assist in the development of communication plans for each sponsorship opportunity, including creating marketing materials such as brochures and fliers that promote the event and highlighting what benefits are available for each sponsorship opportunity.
- Assist in executing the communication plan by initiating contact with the identified potential sponsors and meeting with their representatives in order to build and strengthen communication channels and help demonstrate the potential benefits of collaborating with UOS, such as exposure through sponsorships, the ability to host their own events in the University’s facilities, etc.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal colleagues and event organizers in order to complete any required requests, documentation, or any other related work tasks, as well as to answer questions and provide assistance when needed.
- Coordinate with the concerned departments/persons to ensure that all sponsorship commitments are fulfilled and that all sponsors receive the promised benefits and are represented throughout the event as expected.
Help build strong relationships with sponsors and manage the relationship throughout the sponsorship period to ensure long-term partnerships are maintained. As well as keep them informed and updated about upcoming events and available sponsorship opportunities at the University.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
Excellent working knowledge of personal computer applications with an emphasis on MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or International Relations.
- 2-4 years of UAE experience in a similar role preferably in higher education institutions.
