Commercial Assistant – Travel Retail Middle East KERING BEAUTE
Summary
Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting Regional Manager on key integration projects, working closely with wider Travel retail team on business review preparation and creating new processes.
The successful candidate will keep a keen eye on new products, emerging trends, competitive intelligence, and best practices that can positively impact Kering Beaute commercial opportunities.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse market trends, new products, and competitive activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare presentations to review business cases and commercial opportunities.
- Create new processes and improve current ways of operating including tracking budgets/spend, preparing marketing activation reviews, new launches.
- Support On-boarding/launch of new brands.
- Work cross-functionally with various local and global teams: store design, VM, marketing, brand teams and coordinate closely with Sales and VM teams for merchandising and shipping POSM materials.
- Process Purchase Orders in a time-sensitive manner and follow up on delivery through to payment completion.•Process and follow up on all Expense Invoices (salaries, commissions, rebates, etc.) in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with the budget and provisions set by the Finance Controller.
- Complete new Supplier Creation Forms for invoicing purposes.
- Prepare weekly Sell-In meetings and monthly Performance meetings, including Sell-In, Sell-Out, stock equation, MOC by retailer, and SKU analysis.
- Conduct in-depth Stock analysis of each retailer’s SOH to recommend customized monthly orders.
- Share the monthly Brand Assortment with each retailer to improve and maximize service levels.
- Hold monthly meetings with the Finance Controller and Regional Manager to review retailers’ statements of accounts.
- Process and follow up on returns (if any) as agreed with the FC/AM, in line with the allocated budget.
- Support retailer presentations with relevant sales performance and stock equation data.
- Participate in retailer meetings hosted at the Dubai office when related to stock matters.
Essential Skills:
- Retail and/or travel retail experience in a fast-paced and agile environment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.
- Solid commercial awareness of retail dynamics.
- Effective communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities to identify challenges and create innovative solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
- Customer-focused mindset to enhance the retail experience.
- Keeps up to date on the latest trends, competitor activity, and market awareness.
- Highly organized to manage multiple tasks efficiently, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting, with the ability to operate complex formulas.
- Experience in luxury fragrance/beauty sales and/or travel retail essential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail or travel retail, preferably within the luxury fragrance/beauty sector.
- Proven track record of supporting commercial projects and delivering successful outcomes.
