Requirements: Applicants must have an excellent command of English and solid working knowledge of R. The position focuses on applied and quantitative economics, with research activities involving parallel processing of large datasets and the use of a variety of econometric models. Strong interest in empirical research, particularly in empirical macroeconomics, microeconomics, and panel data analysis, is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate competence in econometrics, including modern and advanced econometric applications. We also welcome exceptional new M.A graduates who have received recent, up-to-date training in modern econometric methods and models, and who are comfortable applying these techniques using R. Even if they have not yet published, candidates with strong technical training and a clear motivation to develop publishable research will be considered. Tasks and Responsibilities: The RA will manage day-to-day activities of ongoing research projects, including data cleaning, merging, and managing large datasets; conducting rigorous data analyses; and estimating econometric models using R. Responsibilities also include preparing comprehensive literature reviews, supporting the PI and Co-PIs in various stages of research, and contributing to the development of manuscripts intended for publication. Candidates should have a strong enthusiasm for research and a genuine commitment to producing high-quality empirical work across diverse economic topics.
An individual who holds a M.A. in Economics or is a PhD candidate in Economics with a strong interest in publishing empirical research.
Preferred Qualification 1. High moral values and ethics, professionalism, and positive attitude. 2. Willingness to grow exponentially by learning new technical and economic topics and analytics software tools. 3. Genuine interest in empirical economics and data analysis. 4.PhD candidate or at least MA in economics Degree. 5. A good knowledge of econometrics and the use of R for data analysis. 6. Knowledge and application of topics in Economics either by education or through work experience. 7. Advanced knowledge/experience with MSOffice software. 8. Advanced and demonstrated academic writing skills (work portfolio of project reports may be requested).
