About the Role:

An intelligence analyst working on Dragonfly’s MENA desk. This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Dubai. The analyst is contracted to work 40 hours a week, though additional work may be occasionally required depending on specific projects or international travel. The analyst will report to the MENA desk lead. The MENA is responsible for Dragonfly’s coverage which provides anticipatory security and strategic intelligence for global businesses and international organisations. As with all our roles our hybrid working policy applies.

You Will:

  • Your primary responsibility as MENA Analyst is to conduct desk-based open source research, production of political, security and geopolitical risk assessments, human source cultivation and development in the relevant markets.
  • You will prepare and deliver reports, presentations and briefings providing briefings to clients and other audiences.
  • You will provide responsive customer service and develop positive working relationships with clients and prospects as well as advocate for the Dragonfly brand
  • You will develop and maintain our resources, including human intelligence sources, subcontractors, data feeds and open source networks.
  • You may also have responsibility for mentoring and/or managing other analysts or researchers.

You Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in working in security analysis, political risk research or crisis risk management
  • Sound analytical knowledge about political and security developments in the MENA region
  • Experience in providing responsive customer service and maintaining positive working relationships with clients and prospects
  • You are honest and curious, able to make analytical judgements based on evidence and reason, without concerns about being proven wrong
  • Knowledge of regional languages is desirable
