Specialis Rotating Engineer (Site Based)
Full – Job Description
Penspen is hiring an experienced Specialist Rotating Engineer with a strong background in the oil & gas industry engineering activities throughout FEED and detailed engineering phases of EPC oil and gas projects, ensuring technical compliance, vendor coordination and timely delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and review detailed engineering deliverables for compressors, pumps, gas turbines, steam turbines, expanders, gearboxes and auxiliary systems.
- Prepare equipment datasheets, specifications, requisitions, technical bid evaluations and vendor-document reviews.
- Perform equipment sizing, performance evaluation, hydraulic checks and review of vibration, rotordynamic and torsional analyses.
- Ensure compliance with applicable API standards, including API 610, 611, 612, 613, 614, 617, 618, 619, 670 and 682.
- Review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, equipment foundations, piping interfaces, seal systems, lubrication systems and condition-monitoring requirements.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, design reviews, model reviews and constructability assessments.
- Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, operations and maintenance teams.
- Manage vendor technical clarifications, inspection and test plans, FATs, installation inspections and site acceptance activities.
- Support alignment, pre-commissioning, start-up, performance testing and machinery acceptance.
- Lead root-cause failure analysis and recommend reliability, availability and lifecycle-cost improvements.
- Provide technical support for equipment upgrades, revamps, maintenance strategies and spare-parts optimization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline,
- 17+ years of oil & gas experience in the oil and gas industry.
- 5+ years in PMC projects
- Strong experience in greenfield & brownfield compression facility projects.
- GCC/Middle East oil & gas project experience is preferred.
