JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. To receive ship structure / vessel profile, stack weight, TCG, VCG etc.  from shipping line and update in TOS
  2. Receive and capture all relevant data and information such as the BAPLIE, MOVINS and exceptions, create a plan (welcome package) after applied cut-off time for the assigned vessel/s and ensure that the same is dispatched to the respective vessel agents, chief officers at least 4 hours before ETB and ensure strict adherence to it.
  3. Process vessel MTY loading according to the requirement. Compare the requirement lists received from the line agent and the vessel operator, and coordinate with them if any discrepancy is found. Nominate the containers to be loaded on defined parameters like age, movement in yard, yard location, special instructions from the agent etc.
  4. After finalizing the plan, ensure that the PRE EDI is accurate and dispatched to the respective shipping line agent and chief officer for approval via E mail prior vessel arrival.
  5. Prepare vessel discrepancy report if necessary
  6. Compare the figures of TOS and PROMIS and keep a copy of same in share folder for future reference.
  7. To maximize optimization opportunities in the crane plan for Twin lift, Tandem lift, Dual Cycling etc.
  8. Identify all the information such as OOGs, Reefers, Break Bulk, sea-air cargo, IMOs, connection boxes, direct deliveries, re-stows, etc in a particular vessel is captured and made necessary preparations if required.
  9. Evaluate the vessel discharge volumes and compare with required allocation.
  10. Identify a range nearest to the berth and check if the identified range has sufficient space to accommodate import containers and assign locations to import containers.
  11. Allocate locations for transhipment containers considering the following factors:

a. Berthing plan of outbound vessel and details about Port of Destination. Historic data in case of details of outbound vessel not available

b. Distance covered from the point of discharge – assigned location – point of loading

c. Line operator, weight

d. Type of container
