Job Purpose

The job holder is responsible to formulate and implement the overall UD Aftersales Department’s annual strategy and business plan to ensure alignment with the Company’s and Group’s goals and objectives. Leads and manages Aftersales activities by monitoring staff, driving sales performance, planning, executing marketing initiatives/campaigns and optimizing utilization of market potential to maximize business revenue and achieve profits while ensuring high level of customer satisfaction at every step.

The job holder is responsible for communication with manufacturer principal (Renault, UD, TATA, UC) and also assumes Profit & Loss responsibility for the department

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the formulation of the functional strategy for the year (including identifying projects to be taken-up during the year) to prepare and deliver performance as per budget.
  • Monitor financial budget in terms of gross profit for service & spare parts to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Examine branch performance on regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and  business development
  • Development of infrastructure and capacity utilization to maximize revenue generation.
  • Formulate plans to introduce new service related product to improve profitability.
  • Setting, Managing and Monitoring the financial budgets in terms of agreed profit and sales margins and minimizing operating expenses and capital expenditure for Parts and workshop.
  • The introduction, compliance sustainment of all Distributor and Manufacturer operating standards
  • Ensuring the accurate, tracking, distribution, and visualization of all customer satisfaction & Fix it Right results
  • Ensuring the compliance of all Distributor Warranty policies and procedure and ongoing audits of warranty practices within all branches.
  • Conducting feasibility, capacity, time and motion studies to ensure that all branches have the correct manpower, equipment, process and facility requirement in order to service all vehicles
  • Ensuring that each staff member works in a safe, environmental friendly and risk free environment
  • Conducting, compiling & distributing technical reports in a timely, quality and professional manner to the distributor to ensure sustainment of all Early Detection/ Early Resolution activities
  • Providing reports on operational, financial and process activities to management as required.
  • Analyse and approve parts orders.
  • Monitor Vehicle Recall activity and Warranty reimbursement, Parts availability, stock months, Parts loss sales
  • Ensuring Parts pricing are in line as per co and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with principals, manufacturers and suppliers in order to maximize support
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices in consultation with DGM/GM by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Closely work with sales departments and develop complementing initiatives to ensure that efficiencies are achieved in all areas of the business through introducing and streamlining best practiced processes and procedures to a customer centric culture
  • Analyse/assess operational processes, identify potential risks and ensure compliance with all established policies, procedures and regulations to ensure that the interests of UD are protected at all time
  • Lead, motivate and develop subordinates in order to achieve required levels of performance and competency. Build a high performance sales culture to deliver maximum sales and exceed budgets
  • Prepare (monthly, quarterly, annual) sales performance report and submit to GM
  • Ensure compliance with ISO Quality standard, and Facilitate the conduct of internal and external quality audit

Job Requirements


Bachelor Degree
Any Mechanical or Automobile degree would added advantage

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management Level in the automotive sector preferably in commercial vehicles;
UAE experience would be an added advantage
Substantial track record of exceeding sales quotas and goals
Knowledge & Skills

Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices
Knowledge of inventory control and management
Knowledge and experience of the automotive sector (with specific emphasis on Commercial Vehicles or Heavy equipment) in the local market
Knowledge of the practical application of automotive and electronic technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, equipment, etc.
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Proficient in English language (verbal and written)
