Assistant Manager – Finance
Budgeting, Cost Control & MIS
- Coordinate the setting up of Sales projections, Intake margin, Mark down, KPI Indicator, etc
- Analyse deviation vs budgets and liaise with Concern team for insight and corrective action.
- Monitor the income and expenses versus budget, track the variances, recommend corrective actions and follow-up on remedial actions to ensure the adherence to the budget and to support the effective monitoring of performance within the budget for:
- Retail productivity
- Gross Margin and Net Margin for the Concept
- Stocks and Sales
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for overhead cost-reduction opportunities
- Deliver set standards of MIS reports for various departments, ensure timely preparation and presentation of periodic MIS and interpret data to suggest ways of cost optimization and store performance improvement
- Exercise necessary budgetary controls on all costs incurred by the Territories, ensuring that they comply with the drawn budgets
- Coordinate with marketing and planning for providing inputs on Margins, Mark Downs for promotions, campaigns and in-season activities like sales
- Monitoring digital marketing spend base on sales trend vs Budget and highlight to control overspend if any.
Evaluate and present feasibility of new projects and assess the financial implications of new or existing stores/ventures
E-Commerce- Sales & Inventory Reconciliation
- Business partnering with Ecom team.
- Weekly validation for List Price upload on 3rd Party Market Place Portal.
- Weekly reconciliation of Sales Order vs Inventory transfer to virtual 3rd Party Market Place location
- Weekly reconciliation of Inventory transfer vs Sales for 3rd Party Market Place location
- Every Monthend ensuring Inventory under Virtual location is zero if not necessary reconciliation is in place.
- Monthly reconciliation of sales vs payment received from 3rd Party Market Place
- Reconciling sales price as per sales report vs List price
- Tracking HB/Vendor Promo discount and ensure recovery as applicable.
- Monthly reconciliation of commission charged as per agreement with the vendor.
- Anylsing damage return and identifying core reason and liaising with respective stakeholders for corrective action.
- Ensuring valid tax invoice are received in time and recorded to avoid VAT/Tax loss, including other tax compliance applicable from time to time.
Review KPI Indicator vs Budget and liaise with Ecom team for deviation
Warehousing and Logistics
- Review sales performance and highlight stock gaps leading to lower sales
- Negotiate and review commercial arrangements with 3 rd Party Business Partner and ensure closure within 2 weeks.
- Review warehouse SLA and coordinate with Warehouse team for deviation or building efficiency.
- Monthly review of delivery cost per order, cost per piece channel wise and ensure right allocation of cost at channel level.
- Propose cost optimisation measure
- On quarterly basis revisit rate card for Market Place and propose changes if any.
