Embrace Excellence
The Macallan Brand Ambassador’s role within the UAE is to recruit, inspire, engage and manage consumers through unique and impactful experiences. Additional responsibilities include sourcing and developing luxury partnerships for unique and meaningful opportunities and strengthening strategic relationships with distributors and other agencies (Media and Experiential)
As a secondary focus, The Macallan Brand Ambassador assists with the localisation and implementation of major brand initiatives, and helps deliver targeted portfolio performance and, where needed, supports trade education in priority accounts. The role will involve extensive event hosting, private client management, reporting and relevant admin. There is a potential need for travel within the region, and on occasion to Scotland to liaise with the global brand and distillery teams and hosting of Estate visits. It is vital that The Macallan Brand Ambassador embodies the essence of the brand in both appearance, behaviour and delivery of key brand messages.
Make an Impact
Reporting to the Brand Manager, UAE & Gulf, key responsibilities include:
Consumer Facing
- Acting as our in-market authority on The Macallan brand and whisky category by conducting whisky tastings and hosting unique brand experience and supporting the planning and execution of experiential events
- Representing The Macallan at priority media, consumer and trade events alongside REM
- Private Client relationship management – sourcing of high potential consumers including collectors and professional groups, maintaining current relationships and reporting via CRM platform.
Distributor Relations
- Working collaboratively to identify opportunities and recommend change as required
- Building relationships and trust of key decision makers (e.g. Distributor PCRMs, Key Account Managers, Marketing Teams )
- Understanding Distributor Ways of Working and localizing “DTC” strategy for implementation
Other (where relevant)
- Having a clear understanding of in-market Commercial targets and collaborating with impact to ensure ROI on activations
- Working with the local Marketing teamo implement a range of marketing activations and communications that are in line with brand DNA and objectives
- Collaborating with The Macallan Global Ambassador community and actively contributing as part of the global education and marketeer network
Your Talent and Skills
To be considered for the role you will have experience working within the spirits or hospitality industry and experience working with luxury brand(s) and their clientele. We’re looking for someone who thrives on mentoring and training others, understands the power of brand messaging and positioning, and has a genuine passion for whisky.
