Manager, Business Development, Global Payments Solutions (UAE nationals) – 0000K4TC

HSBC’s Global Payments Solutions (GPS) serves as a core service provider to Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) customers. This role will be part of a high performing GPS Commercial banking sales team managing large and mid-market corporate clients and will be responsible for implementing and driving a growth strategy for this portfolio. We are seeking a high calibre UAE national to join the team based in UAE.

In this role, you will be:

•    Managing a client portfolio in order to maintain existing and generate new income for HSBC.
•    Proactively identifying sales opportunities and executing successfully.
•    Support in client planning and maintain close liaison with key stakeholders.
•    Broadening and deepening existing client relationships.
•    Acting as a focal point of contact within GPS, coordinating with products for approvals, liaising with client management team to oversee projects during implementation phase.
•    Raising internal requests to ensure that the sales process is in good order.
•    Ensuring appropriate client activity is documented.
•    Identify repetitive trends and replicate success where applicable.
•    Recognized as a GPS specialist with ability to display competent knowledge of relevant products and services.
•    Working with key stakeholders across wholesale business lines to ensure a consistent positive client experience.
•    Keeping the Management informed of progress / major obstacles towards progress on Sales performance.
•    Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
•    Ensuring all requests for ops losses/refunds, travel, out of plan expenditure, hospitality events etc. are appropriate and correctly authorized.
•    This is a regional role which is office bases/hybrid working, however may require travel occasionally.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

•    Good understanding of the market & market trends, competitive environment and regulatory environment.
•    Experience in front line roles that involves business development and sales.
•    Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services.
•    Awareness of payment solutions and digital trends.
•    Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness.
•    Ability to assimilate knowledge quickly in a rapidly changing technical environment.
•    A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others’ compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
•    Act as an advisor to customers, having established and built valuable long-term relationships.
•    A track record of successfully identifying and developing business propositions, that attract and entrench customers, in a fair and ethical way.
•    Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
