Position Overview:

Should be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions and maintaining payroll records in compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves managing payroll-related tasks, including calculations, disbursements, and reconciliations, while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Good at collaborating with various departments to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies, contributing to the smooth operation of the payroll function within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Processing:

  • Execute timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including but not limited to salary payments, bonuses, commissions, and benefits.
  • Verify and reconcile timekeeping records and attendance data to ensure accuracy in payroll calculations.
  • Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings.

2. Record Maintenance and Reporting:

  • Maintain complete and accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Generate payroll reports for management review and financial reporting purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding payroll processing and record-keeping.

3. Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with HR personnel to ensure accurate employee data and timely processing of payroll changes, such as new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including pay discrepancies, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions.
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll-related accounts and address any discrepancies or variances.

4. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll processing, record-keeping, and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline payroll processes and reduce manual effort.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Previous experience in payroll processing and accounting, preferably in a corporate environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with knowledge of Oracle Fusion is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing calculations and maintaining records.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
