Credit Control & Receivable Analyst
1.Job Purpose:
Ensure premium collection which contributes on the ability of the company to have sufficient working capital & be able to meet capital requirement and payment of claims.
On time collection of premium and proper allocation of cash, management of bad debt and exposure of AML Re. (Total receivables of $40M)
2.Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Knowledge
Qualifications & Education: Experience:
Training: Knowledge: Technical Skills:
Finance and/or accounting bachelor’s degree. Experience in a similar role / industry.
Good communication skills & People management. Financial reporting, Analytical & Problem solving with attention to detail.
Ability to work with various systems
(Back-end accounting systems and front-end policy booking system)
3.Job Accountabilities
- Ensure meeting credit terms.
- Minimization of bad debt exposure maintain FAS 5 (bad debt reserves) on quarterly basis and ensure provisions are kept within the agreed goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance and control aspects on collections portfolio.
- Ensure proper and on time cash allocation.
- Preparation & Participation of credit committee meetings.
- Project Management & Expertise on Business process, including interacting with BPO (SS) and ensuring all SOP are up to date.
- Ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
- Ability to place pressure tactfully on clients/brokers/cedants to collect premiums and maintain good relationships.
4.Communication and Working Relationships
Internal Line management, (PCMs), Operations & Distribution
External Distribution channel and vendor partnering.
5.Key Competencies
- Excellent computer skills, with Microsoft Excel and presentations.
- Support the business and contribute to business results (capital adequacy control, bad debt management)
- People management, ( BPO), efficient interaction with internal & external stakeholders
