Customer Service Officer – UAE National
The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing high standard customer service and support to patient and multidisciplinary team for better outcomes. The Officer will respond to inquiries, providing necessary information about the services, and resolving issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients and communicating with services providers at the front desk, answering phones, and answering questions.
- Registers new patients, enters all registration data into Health Information System accurately and obtain patient signature on verified registration form.
- Ensures correct entry of financial details by obtaining the documents to support the payment mode.
- Schedules & books appointments as requested appropriately.
- Transfers and cancels appointments.
- Collects payment, issues receipt, and completes designed cashier report & preparing manual report correctly.
- Modifies from insurance to cash and vice versa as required.
- Informs patient about billing details and explain about non-covered charges.
- Ensures that all departmental report & correspondence are completed timely & accurately.
- Participates in staff orientation aimed at developing skills and performance by acting as a preceptor/mentor in the supervision and teaching of new staff.
- Maintains complete knowledge at all times of all hospital feature/services/price/packages and hours of operations.
- Demonstrates adequate medical terminology knowledge after attending Customer Service special course regarding medical terms, conditions, and treatments.
- Assists the Insurance Coordinator in determining if the case needs approval, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting co-payments or payments and approving them.
- Coordinates closely with Clinic Lead to resolve any pending issues with outstanding delays, changes in charges, and any operations-related matters and requests timely pre-approval.
- Ensure that the reception area is well-kept, neat, and clean.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree with recognized Institution/University.
- 2-3 years Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology is a definite advantage.
- Young and energetic with ability to work in a diverse team environment
