About the role

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our world-class Growth Marketing team at Careem, with a strong focus on SEO, ASO, and the activation of emerging digital channels, including AI-driven discovery engines. This role goes beyond traditional performance marketing to encompass content visibility, intelligent targeting, and digital innovation that keeps Careem ahead of the curve.

You will build strategies that span across Paid Media, SEO, ASO, and AI-powered surfaces — ensuring our landing pages and brand visibility are optimized not just for search, but also for contextual discovery tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. The ideal candidate blends technical know-how with creative fluency, and thrives in scaling new frontiers.

What you’ll do

  • Lead SEO strategy to improve the visibility and performance of landing and long-tail pages (LLPs) across traditional search engines and new-gen discovery platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity).
  • Collaborate with content, data, and web teams to structure, tag, and serve content that aligns with AI/LLM-driven search behaviour.
  • Drive ASO (App Store Optimization) to maximize the performance of app store landing pages, ensuring best-in-class discoverability, conversion rates, and creative placement.
  • Explore and launch emerging marketing channels (e.g. AI chat surfaces, smart TVs, native placements), with a test-and-learn mindset and structured evaluation of performance.
  • Partner closely with internal digital strategy, product, and engineering teams to align growth goals with platform capabilities.
  • Ensure clarity and alignment on campaign briefs, translating business goals into actionable growth tactics across owned and paid assets.
  • Maintain oversight of paid media (e.g. Paid Search, Social, Display, Video) while shifting emphasis toward quality placements and innovative visibility strategies.
  • Champion automation, data-driven experimentation, and continuous performance optimization across all touchpoints.
  • Set annual media strategy across verticals, with a focus on unlocking new audience pathways and sustainable growth levers.

What you’ll need

  • Demonstrated experience with technical and content SEO, including schema, indexation strategy, and LLP architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of ASO best practices, with hands-on experience optimizing app listings and creatives.
  • Passion for new technologies and AI-led marketing; familiarity with the adtech ecosystem in platforms like ChatGPT or Perplexity is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in Google Marketing Platform tools (SA360, DV360, GA360, Campaign Manager).
  • Experience working with Mobile Measurement Platforms (e.g., Adjust) and understanding multi-touch attribution.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker Studio) and performance tracking.
  • Strong analytical mindset with an ability to connect insights to action.
  • A proven track record of scaling campaigns or programs from scratch, especially in non-traditional or nascent channels.
