Document Controller
To manage and control all quality-related documents, ensuring that they are accurately maintained, updated, and distributed in accordance with company procedures. The role involves maintaining the Quality Management System documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and supporting the operational business unit by providing professional document control services. Contribute to the company’s vision of creating fast, dependable, and creative solutions for its customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Compile Initial & Final inspection reports including photographs of equipment.
- Ensure that any modification is reviewed by the QC Supervisor and is properly controlled and documented.
- Control the process of submitting QC data package of every job at the time of delivery.
- Control the hard and scanned copies filing of all quality related records.
- Prepare for audits & calibration.
- Produce COC and ensure to compile final complete documentation.
- Assist in effectively implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System across the business units.
- Provide support for identifying work-specific international standards as part of facilitating competitive advantage for the business.
- Support maintaining the API standards/specifications pertaining to product quality.
- Interact with facility staff and other QC representatives for effective implementation of quality policies and procedures.
- Control and update QC documents and records, ensure monthly reports are received on time, and prepare monthly QMS reports as directed by the QHSE Manager.
- Responsible for the general housekeeping and cleaning of the area of working.
- Actively participate in actions intended to advance the organization towards its vision.
- Actively update job folders with records as required.
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Knowledge of API / Measuring instruments / oilfield equipment.
- Knowledge and Understanding of Quality Management principles and practice within an organizational context.
- Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
- Good skills in excel, word and pdf.
- Good skills in Outlook.
- Good understanding of multiple inspection activities (Visual, Dimensional, NDE, Welding, Pressure testing, etc)
Experience
- Light knowledge of API / Measuring instruments / oilfield equipment – Records related to MPI / hardness test – Records related to Operating understanding PMI machine – Records related to Calibration of measuring instruments and gauges – Records related to Dimensional check – precision measuring equipment – Records related to NDT – Records related to Pressure test reports – Records related to Weld map
Education Requirements
- Industrial Diploma.
- Microsoft excel training is preferred.
- 5 years previous experience in a similar role essential in an oil and gas mechanical/workshop environment
- Product knowledge/exposure; – Manufacture: Oilfield equipment, Manifold, Mandrels, Crossovers & Fittings – Repair: Oilfield equipment, Manifold, Centrifuges, Mud pump
Physical Requirements
- Light physical effort
- Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment
- May require travel across the Middle East and GCC countries Employees are individually responsible to ensure that they systematically arrive at the workplace Fit for Duty.
