We are currently seeking an enterprise architect professional to join the Group Technology and Digital Platforms Team in the capacity of Enterprise Architect – Financial Services

 

Overview of the Role

The major responsibilities of this role include defining and governing the holistic application, business, data, integration, and cloud architectures for the Financial Services Line of Business.

In addition, the Enterprise Architect will oversee technology selection, review major initiatives, drive best practices, and define and maintain the target architecture, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design the target Enterprise Architecture in the context of Business & IT strategy for the Financial Services Transformation Line of Business
  • Create Business Architecture / Capability Models, perform maturity assessment and create roadmaps for capability increments.
  • Perform Impact Analysis of Demands and define the solution approach.
  • As part of RFIs (Request for Information) or RFPs (Request for Proposal) identify, assess, and recommend selection of new product and technology in line with the Architecture Principles and Business Requirements.
  • Assess Application Portfolio and recommend Applications for consolidation, retirement and timely upgrade leading to a cost optimal IT landscape.
  • Define Application & Technology Standards. Prepare roadmaps for technology and products supporting the strategic implementation plan.
  • Perform research on emerging technologies and recommend usage to address existing business capability gaps.
  • Undertake new technology/solutions introduction and related Proof of Concepts / Proof of Technology.
  • Lead scoping, integration designs and workshops with the Business/IT stakeholders to support business strategies.
  • Participate / Coordinate in Enterprise Architecture governance activities.

Required Skills to Be Successful

  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Good understanding across architecture domains – Business, Data, Application and Technology Architecture
  • Certification to at least one Enterprise Architecture Framework (e.g., TOGAF)
  • Demonstrated experience with banking reference frameworks (e.g., BIAN)
  • The ability to visualize and create high-level architecture models / artifacts
  • Experience in Enterprise Architecture Toolsets (preferably LeanIX) including modelling, maintaining repository, creating & publishing viewpoints to stakeholders
  • Experience in carrying out architecture assessments and provide recommendations
  • Experience in performing market research & evaluate Emerging Technologies to address existing gaps or recommend new opportunities
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.

What Equips You for the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a closely related field (minimum). Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15 years Enterprise Architecture experience including 5+ in enterprise architecture within financial services, preferably in Banking
