 Finance manager – FP&A Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to support and own the delivery of the World Area reporting requirements. This XBU position will be responsible for providing the World Area Finance Director with key information on actual results, including forward-looking analysis and reports. Also, collaborating with a broad range of internal customers and deliver valuable analysis.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Responsible for the consolidation and review of MEA Financials in Reporting System (HFM) for completeness, accuracy, and timely submission. Also ensure compliance with Emerson Corporate Policies and procedures and local reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate as a business partner with BUs, Functions, and Regions by providing insightful analyses and recommendations. Also work with them for various submissions and business requirements.
  • Be a World Area point of contact for all US reporting requirements and inquiries.
  • Analyze and identify potential business / operational risks and coordinate with Finance leadership for possible resolution.
  • Responsible for the consolidation & review of MEA Quarterly Forecast (POR) in reporting system (HFM) and ensuring all requirements are adhered to including variances analysis for both Regions and Business Units.
  • Responsible for the preparation and sending out of commentaries for monthly Flash of Orders and Sales Reporting to US.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all year-end and quarterly reporting requirements (External Reporting) are thoroughly reviewed, accurate and submitted within timelines
  • Preparation of month end packs and quarterly packs for MEA Management.
  • Coordinating, leading various financial submissions of POR, Budget, Presidents Council, Mid-year review, Restatement, Profitability review and Planning conference reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for all WAFF requirements and reporting.
  • Responsible for the development of the WA FP&A Team in Pune and for ensuring that the team is working towards a common objective.
  • Work and co-ordinate with GFS team in month-end close cycle!
  • Overlooking headcount reporting at total MEA level.
  • Provide mentorship to the World Area Finance team on HFM issues particularly during month-end close!
  • Coordinating with Emerson corporate office as HFM Lead on all new entity requests or HFM roll- ups changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reports, including the centralization and automation of reporting and analysis processes.
  • Support and own Ad hoc projects/assignments and any other duties as deemed appropriate by your line manager.

  • Ability to analyze data, assess business impact and communicate appropriately
  • Attention to details and ability to cater multiple priorities

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 8 Years of experience in FP&A field in a large US multinational
  • Working on stretch timelines
  • Professional Financial Qualification (ACA, ACMA, CPA, etc.)
  • Good operational command over Microsoft excel & Power point

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Excellent hands-on knowledge on HFM
  • Knowledge of large data processing & use of Power BI – added advantage.
