Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in scholarly or corporate instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Experience with instructional design principles and processes.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in adult learning theory.
- Experience collaborating on the design and development of a range of learning assets: course content, job aids, facilitator guides, etc.
- Experience supporting the development, execution, and impact measurement of programs for a range of learners.
- Experience coordinating and supporting rollout of a training program to a variety of stakeholders and users.
- Ability to identify the need to track/organize information and establish the tracking mechanisms or spreadsheets.
About the job
As the Instructional Designer, you will provide curriculum development expertise and support on an array of projects allowing our team to bring development projects to close and improve the quality of content developed across the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, needs analysis, course development, documentation support, and evaluation. You will work with a purpose and urgency, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, and demonstrate attention to detail resulting in the delivery of quality work products.
Responsibilities
- Support all phases of the curriculum lifecycle: analysis, development, delivery, evaluation, and maintenance.
- Research current and emerging e-learning technologies such as wikis, blogs, collaborative or social networking tools, mobile devices etc. Build E-learning courses using software tools/platforms such as evolve and articulate.
- Develop and maintain Instructor-led and self-study learning materials for various audiences.
- Update course descriptions, syllabi, and other collateral pertaining to external education.
- Collaborate with peers and subject matter experts on the development of program materials.
