Wilhelmsen Global Business Services Tech (UAE) is looking for a  IT Coordinator – AMB & APAC who will be reporting to the IT Manager – AMB & APAC.

As a IT coordinator – AMB & APAC, you will provide 2nd Line IT support onsite in the UAE and remote support to Bahrain, Egypt and other countries across Africa, the Middle East, and the Black Sea. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering 2nd Line support for applications, network management, server management, order fulfillment, IT governance, and security.
  • Assisting the 1st Line Support team when required, identifying recurring issues and automation opportunities, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Resolving and following up on incidents escalated within 2nd & 3rd Line Support, aligned with ITIL best practices.
  • Ordering and securing facilities, equipment, and supplies required for IT services.
  • Coordinating with local vendors, managing needs and renewal cycles, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all incidents and requests are registered in the global ticketing system and handled according to Global Business Solutions’ Service Level Agreements and GSM guidelines.
  • Identifying training needs, arranging and delivering online and physical training sessions in collaboration with the IT Manager and cross-regional teams.
  • Monitoring user satisfaction scores and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Advising on IT investment budgets.
  • Providing accurate reporting as required.
  • Acting in compliance with corporate governance policies.

What we are looking for:

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken, with the ability to convey and understand complex IT scenarios.
  • Hold a university-level degree in IT, Business Administration, or possess equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in IT support, including solid 2nd Line Support experience. Experience in IT vendor management is a plus.
  • Hold ITIL certification and have experience in network support and IT hardware & software troubleshooting. Familiar with Microsoft & iOS products and applications.
  • Independent, driven, dependable, and result-oriented, with a service-minded attitude.
  • Able to work independently while being a reliable team player, capable of driving technical projects from start to finish and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Committed to personal and team safety, compliance, and wellness.
  • Hold a valid permit to work in the UAE. In some cases, we can offer an employment visa
