Following a successful pilot in 2023 with €15 million of sales and a network of 15,000 local freelancers, Malt has officially launched operations in Dubai.
To accelerate growth we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager based in Dubai to cover the UAE and KSA markets.
Our team is directly contributing to some of the largest projects in the Region, such as the VISION 2030 of Saudi Arabia that aims to achieve the goal of increased diversification economically, socially and culturally.
Our next Senior BDM will help large consulting firms as well as private and public organisations in their staffing challenges in the fastest growing environment in the world.
As one of the first employees in the Middle East, you will also have a strategic impact and you will shape the culture of the local team for the years to come.
An essential element of our success will come from you, we are looking for an entrepreneur to help us scale. In this role you will be responsible for acquiring, establishing, and nurturing long-term partnerships with our most important clients. This is a challenging “full-stack” sales role that will directly contribute to establishing Malt as a recognised and trusted brand in the region.
Key responsibilities ✨
- Develop your key accounts (tier 1 consulting firms, public sector, large private organisations of 2000 FTE and above).
- Define your playground: client territory by industry and size based on the existing Malt footprint in order to design, implement, and execute your go to market plan to grow your business with each account.
- Become a trusted advisor for your clients, help them adapt their organisation and processes to make the most out of their flexible talent strategy.
- Network with our consultants in the region to get a precise understanding of the rise of consulting, the associated challenges and opportunities for large companies in the Middle East.
- Educate the market on the power of using independent consultants and freelancers to become more agile and flexible.
- Provide local insights from users on how to further enhance the product and Malt value proposition.
- Support the Middle East launch and the entire commercial team with the production of external analyses and benchmarks, optimization of the customer experience, sharing of sector analyses, sharing of freelance feedback, etc.
About you
- 3+ years of professional experience complex enterprise sales / business development
- Ideally experience in the consulting, staffing or the technology industry
- Fully fluency in English is essential, Arabic would be a plus
- Excellent formal communication and presentation skills, ability to have 1-1 interactions with C-level decision makers
- Excited about creating something new in a booming market
How to join the mission?
- First call with a team member to better understand your background, aspirations and answer your questions. (30-45 minutes)
- Interview with Soufya, Middle East Director and your future manager, to discuss your experience and how it would align with this role (45-60 minutes)
- Prepare a case study which you’ll then present to two of our current Business Development Managers (1 hour)
- Final interview with Quentin (GM UK, Benelux, MEA) to discuss Malt’s long term vision and to check any remaining questions (30-45 minutes).
