Supply Chain Specialist
(Iraq Mega Projects Consultancy Programme)

The role will be primarily office based with flexibility for remote working. Travel to Iraq on a visiting basis may be required.
THE ROLE
We are currently looking to hire a Lead Supply Chain Consultant with 15 plus years experience to work on a major transformation and restructuring programme in the Manufacturing and FMCG sector.
The successful candidate will review current supply chain operations and systems in the companies under review, conduct benchmarking of similar organisations to identify gaps in operational set up and management, and leverage their extensive expertise in supply chain management to define new objectives and drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and deliver innovative solutions that enhances our clients’ supply chain capabilities and improves supply resilience.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead assessment of full supply chain life cycle, including analysis of current procurement (methods, processes, laws and regulations), contracts (current and abiding laws and regs), logistics, inventory management (stock of raw material and finished products), supply markets (where do they source their inputs, restrictions and limitations), supply costs, and warehousing.
- Conduct benchmarking exercise of similar organisations, regionally and internationally where required, to identify gaps and opportunities for enhanced supply chain operations and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement supply chain solutions for the pilot study
- Post pilot, to define strategic objectives and deliver supply chain solutions across the full spectrum of the factories under review, aligning with business objectives and enhance overall efficiency.
- Restructure the new supply chain life cycle operating model to align with the new Target Operating Model
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking supply chain performance.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate clients on best practices in supply chain management and change management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on industry trends, risk management, and supply chain resilience.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or 15+ years developing and delivering supply chain solutions to clients in business-wide transformation programmes.
- Sector experience in manufacturing and FMCG preferable
- Strong analytical skills with experience in supply chain modelling and optimization tools.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and supply chain management software.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and their integration into supply chain strategies to ensure supply chain resilience.
- Knowledge and experience of working in the Middle East
- Excellent MS Word and PowerPoint skills
