Logistics Manager – Middle East
This is your opportunity to join a global company where you will be responsible to lead and engage the Middle East Logistics teams to efficiently plan, monitor, execute and optimize all logistics activities (the main area will be Saudi Arabia along with other Middle Eastern countries).
As a Logistics Manager at Hempel, you will be actively involved in establishing and ensuring a strong organization with the purpose of meeting established delivery performance, and overall logistics fulfilment operations, established logistics specifications and schedules, volume, cost targets, as well as safety, quality and legal standards. This role will based in Sharjah (UAE) and will report into the Regional Logistics Director – EMEA.

- Establish effective organizational structures, processes, and develop successful teams through modern and inclusive leadership style with focus on results and success created together.
- Ensure successful and transparent delivery performance, driving supply chain reliability.
- In addition, address customer satisfaction through incremental improvements of planning and scheduling as well as logistics footprint in the sub-region.
- Manage inventories in accordance with defined and agreed parameters, and be an active contributor to defining the same.
- Manage all related Warehouse operations effectively and efficiently, both locally and throughout the sub-region, with operation focus on optimal distribution and warehouse footprint for ME region overall.
- Ensure all guidelines regarding HSE are thoroughly understood throughout all organization and employees.
- Effective information and training, as well as leading by example.
- Actively participate and engage in cross functional initiatives in the team and support the region wide management agenda.
What we’re looking for:
- University degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or Economics is preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in the warehouse and logistics field
- At least 5+ years of experience within Supply Chain and Logistics on management capacity is required
- MBA studies or any other related studies in business administration is considered a merit
- Knowledge of paint and coating technologies is considered a merit
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required
- Proficiency in standard software applications (i.e. Word/XLS/PPT) is expected, and previous experience in Dynamics AX ERP platform is considered a merit
