Logistics Officer
At Zahr Freighters, we pride ourselves on delivering timely and reliable logistics solutions to our clients across the region. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our team in Dubai. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to optimizing supply chain and freight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services in compliance with client requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs officials to track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and logistics activities, including invoices, delivery notes, and customs documentation.
- Monitor stock levels, track inventory movements, and assist in inventory audits.
- Optimize routes and transportation methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards related to logistics and transportation.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance and propose improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with UAE customs and import/export regulations is a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
