JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer – Data Analysis

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to extract and interpret data from engineering drawings and vendor documentation related to maintainable equipment within oil and gas / renewables industries.
  • Utilize Petrofac proprietary software to classify data that has been gathered from engineering documentation to generate maintenance systems based upon the criticality of the equipment.
  • Support the development and implementation of predictive maintenance strategies based on sound engineering concepts and insights to minimize downtime and maximize asset lifespan.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to safe operations within the oil and gas / renewables industries.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline i.e., electrical instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with mechanical design principles, equipment modeling, and simulation software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Can demonstrate an interest in and understanding of the role of data within an engineering environment.
  • Excellent aptitude for manipulating data in MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Quick learner who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Attentive listener with a knack for synthesizing information effectively.Self-starter with a drive to excel and contribute positively to team objectives.
