JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer – Data Analysis
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to extract and interpret data from engineering drawings and vendor documentation related to maintainable equipment within oil and gas / renewables industries.
- Utilize Petrofac proprietary software to classify data that has been gathered from engineering documentation to generate maintenance systems based upon the criticality of the equipment.
- Support the development and implementation of predictive maintenance strategies based on sound engineering concepts and insights to minimize downtime and maximize asset lifespan.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to safe operations within the oil and gas / renewables industries.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline i.e., electrical instrumentation.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with mechanical design principles, equipment modeling, and simulation software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Can demonstrate an interest in and understanding of the role of data within an engineering environment.
- Excellent aptitude for manipulating data in MS Office suite.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Quick learner who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
