Middle East Lead Underwriter
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, price and modify plan design for renewals and new business on large corporate quotations in compliance with underwriting authorities
- Build effective relationship with sales and client management partners to win and retain business
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing accuracy, and collaborate with rest of the team to implement solutions
- Manage portfolio of accounts by balancing profitability and revenue
- Conduct analytical reviews to identify and understand trends, patterns and insights that are used to successfully manage portfolio
- Provide concise, clear and decisive instructions on risk exposure
- Support rest of the underwriters on the team to balance the workload
- Be market aware; understand competitive and regulatory landscape
Education and Experience
- 8+ years of insurance experience in health underwriting
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, engineering, actuarial or similar
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel; Exposure to Tableau or Power BI
- Data analytics and process improvement
