Officer – Data Sciences – 23000436

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

The role is responsible for performing quantitative analysis to generate insights that help improve the effectiveness of flydubai’s digital channels. The candidate will help translate insights into opportunities and provides analytics support where needed, including data collection, trend analysis, reporting and forecasting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Embark on exploratory data analysis projects to achieve better understanding of broader market trends as well as discover untapped areas of growth and optimization
  • Answer complex analytical questions from big data sets to help flydubai shape its digital offering and performance marketing efforts
  • Design and run randomized controlled experiments, analyse the resulting data, and communicate results with Onsite marketing coordinator and e-Commerce product development team
  • This role sits within the product team – work closely with business to identify and employ appropriate quantitative and qualitative tools for generating insights and effectively presenting it to senior management
  • Create dashboards that are used for monitoring booking behaviour, growth, and other critical KPIs of the e-commerce division in flydubai
  • Assist the channel marketing team in developing operationalized solutions to improve decision making in commercial areas
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for business vertical leadership using analytics

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies (with quantitative emphasis), Information Systems, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science or related field

Experience Specific Requirements

  • 2 years e-Commerce marketing experience, within a fast paced, data centric, analytically driven environment. Preference will be given to candidates with Retail or Airline experience with strong business acumen
  • 2 years’ experience with web analytics tools
  • Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree) – 2
  • Preferred No. of Years (without Relevant Degree) – 5

Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements

  • Hand on experience with tools such as SQL/Python and BI platforms as PowerBI and Tableau

ISR Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day to day business operations.
