About the job
Ensure pickup scheduling and requirements are met.
Accountable to control costs within budgetary constraints and have a thorough understanding of the shipment process flow and to manage all shipment processing operations efficiently.
Motivate, train, coach and support new and existing employees.
Work with the operations head to establish long and short-term business plans, objectives, and goals for the department.
Vendor management and negotiations.
Follow up on shipments until they are terminated and ensure shipments are updated.
Provide proactive customer service for all clients handled by department.
Ensure continuous improvement processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve performance to our customers.
Effectively manage any issues that arise within scope of responsibility. Lead resolution of difficult issues through effective skills.
Achieve and exceed all department KPI’s.
About you
Prior experience required within the customer service and the logistics industry (2 years)
Bachelor’s degree (preferable in supply chain and logistics)
Knowledge of UAE customs, import and export regulations.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)
