Oracle Finance Techno-Functional Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Techno-Functional Consultant with a strong background of more than 8 years in finance and technology. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and a solid understanding of enterprise finance processes, financial close cycles, and multi-ledger, multi-currency, and multi-entity accounting. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders to analyze business needs, design and configure Oracle Fusion Financials modules, and implement end-to-end solutions within the Oracle Cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal business to understand their financial management requirements, processes, and pain points.
  • Conduct business process analysis to optimize workflows within General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and Expense Management.
  • Define Chart of Accounts (COA) structuresSubledger Accounting (SLA) rules, and Intercompany Accounting configurations.
  • Gather, document, and analyze requirements for Enterprise Structures (Legal Entities, Business Units, Ledgers, and Cost Centers).
  • Develop automated workflows for approvals and exceptions handling using Business Process Management (BPM).
  • Design custom reports, forms, and grids as needed.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring compliance with Subledger to General Ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Assess and mitigate the impact of Oracle Fusion Cloud quarterly updates on custom configurations and financial processes.
  • Provide post-implementation support and maintenance, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Assist with upgrading and migrating the custom solution to ensure compatibility with the updated or new features.

Qualifications

Education and Certification:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, IT, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials implementation.
  • Hands-on expertise in General Ledger (GL), Payables (AP), Receivables (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and Expenses.

Desirable:

  • Oracle Cloud Financials Certification (Implementation Specialist).
  • Experience with healthcare-specific ERP integrations (e.g., Insta, Cerner).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Strong Financial Close & Consolidation Process knowledge, including Multi-Currency, Multi-Org, and Multi-Ledger accounting.
  • Strong SQL and data migration experience.
  • Experience in Security & Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) within Oracle Security Console.
  • Proficiency in technical development, including Oracle Cloud Finance APIs, reports, and extensions.
