Oracle HCM Techno-Functional Consultant
Job Description
The consultant will work closely with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to implement, optimize, and support Oracle Fusion Payroll solutions, ensuring accurate payroll processing, system stability, and compliance with labor and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical development skills, hands-on payroll configuration experience, and the ability to integrate Oracle Fusion Payroll with third-party financial and HR systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of Oracle Fusion Payroll, ensuring alignment with HR, finance, and tax regulations.
- Requirements Gathering: Work with HR and Payroll stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements. Translate these requirements into Oracle Fusion configurations and solutions.
- Configuration and Setup: Configure and maintain HCM and Payroll modules, including core HR, Payroll, Absence Management and Talent Management, based on business needs.
- Technical Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom reports, data conversions, integrations, and workflows using Oracle tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, Fast Formulas, and HCM Extracts).
- Data Migration: Lead data migration activities, ensuring data quality and consistency between legacy systems and Oracle Fusion, and validate migrated data for accuracy.
- Develop and manage payroll interfaces between Oracle Fusion Payroll, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Tax Reporting, and external banking systems.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Create test cases, conduct testing (SIT, UAT), and troubleshoot issues across HCM and Payroll functionalities to ensure system reliability.
- User Training and Documentation: Prepare training materials and documentation, conduct user training, and provide post-implementation support to enhance user adoption.
- Assess Oracle Fusion Payroll quarterly updates, identifying new features, patches, and potential impact on payroll configurations.
Qualifications
Education and Certification:
Essential:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, HR Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Payroll implementation and support.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion Payroll configurations, payroll costing, fast formulas, and compliance rules.
Desirable:
- Oracle Cloud Payroll Certification (Implementation Specialist)
- Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of HCM processes (core HR, payroll, benefits, absence, talent management) and Payroll operations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of Payroll Elements, Payroll Balances, Payroll Flow Patterns, Payment Methods, and Retro Pay Processing
- Proficiency in BI Publisher, OTBI, HCM Extracts, and Fast Formulas for payroll reporting.
- Knowledge of payroll security best practices, RBAC, and payroll approvals hierarchy.
- Expertise in identifying and fixing payroll discrepancies, miscalculations, and costing errors.
