Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Must have knowledge of the Instrumentation & Control discipline activities including Fire and Gas and Telecoms discipline scope/cost/time requirements, and assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
  • Perform interdisciplinary drawing check and provide inputs to other disciplines
  • Implements innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.
  • Perform design and drafting assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget.
  • Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares design drawings, schedules, Bill of Quantities, 3D models, EDMS and Material take-offs.
  • Assists with recommendations and helps create final documentation.
  • Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues internal authorization.
  • Understands design deliverables required for all project phases, and their various purposes.

Quality Assurance

  • Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems

Safety

  • Responsible for personal safety and working within the Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
  • Competent in implementing HSE in the design process, focuses on process safety and strives to use best practice

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Diploma, Advance Diploma of Engineering Technology in Instrumentation & Control discipline with instrument designer experience in Oil & Gas Industry, with at least few years handling clients in Middle East.

IT Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microstation and SP3D/PDMS/E3D. Additionally, experience in SPI will be preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
