Job Description:

The Professional Education & Development Associates primary role is to expand the reach of Professional support within the GCC (and KSA,if needed), as well as internal JnJ team’s education and product knowledge.

This will be achieved by:

  • Optimizing ECPs & KOLs awareness of the clinical benefits of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care products involving both key accounts and independent practices.
  • Communicates to ECPs & Staff the latest in innovative technologies that improve product understanding, enable sales, and enhance the overall medical professional customer experience.
  • Ensures product knowledge by coordinating product demonstrations and providing informative technical support at professional medical conferences, organization-sponsored symposia, and healthcare provider seminars.
  • Understand clinical and performance differences between ACUVUE® products and key competitor products.
  • Helps establish and implement modifications to education and training programs that address educational gaps among medical professionals and support the sales team in achieving and exceeding product sales goals and departmental objectives. As well as support generic educational initiatives to increase knowledge, confidence and best practices in contact lens fitting, prescribing, and patient care.
  • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
  • The successful applicant’s working time will be spent working independently and travelling in the field at least 60% of the time. Minimum of 5 visits per day while in the field. Some co-travel with sales team may be required for training purposes but this is not the main purpose of the role. A significant part of the travel involved will be international and will include Gulf countries including KSA, as well as support of Growth markets such as Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Africa

Main Responsibilities and Evaluation

• Conduct varied and diverse customer and support staff training, through all platforms both in person & through digital tools (ie . Webinars, JJ LMS platform, distance learning, VR tools)
• Facilitate discussion groups
• Leverage The Johnson &Johnson Institute facility with accounts
and deliver generic CPD and product related presentations
• Coach customers using their personal and others’ experiences to create behaviour change
• Attend internal meetings eg POAs and help deliver sales force training
• Examples of Key Metrics that will be used to measure success:
.1 Feedback evaluation
.2 Number of customer meetings
.3 Number of ECPs reached (segmented by KA and Independents)
.4 % Increase in diagnostic usage (for new product led activities) % Increase of knowledge and confidence of ECPs to prescribe following educational initiatives
•Administration – tracking key metrics – in salesforce.com

Develop new and update / monitor training materials

Plan & maintain training calendar in coordination with internal stakeholders

Ensure all Compliance processes are followed and completed

Qualifications

Knowledge / Experience / Skills required

  • must be Qualified Optometrist/Contact Lens Optician/Ophthalmologist.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contact lens fitting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outgoing, self-starter, Good Analytical skills.
  • Computer skills including Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
  • Experience of delivering training.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Proven profile within the wider optical profession(KOL)
  • Demonstrable experience of working successfully in a team.
  • Preferred Arabic speaker, not mandatory.
