Job Description

Synopsis

The purpose of the Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) is to perform, review and manage Expositions, TPMs in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements applicable to Approved Maintenance Organization in order to maintain continued validity of the CAR 145, EASA Part 145, FAR 145 and other NAA Maintenance Organization Approvals granted to Etihad Airways Engineering.

The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) will also be responsible to review the NAAs Approval Certificates in accordance with the business requirements to ensure the currency and validity of Approvals

Accountabilities

  • Review and assess GCAA/EASA/FAA/UK CAA and other NAAs Regulatory Requirements on a regular basis to ensure regulatory compliance of the procedures controlled by the section.
  • Performing the administration of the initial development and revision process for NAAs Expositions.
  • Ensure the latest revisions of RSQM, MOE and supplements are approved by the Authorities in a timely manner.
  • Manages NAAs Approvals held and administers the application process for renewal, extension or new NAA approvals.
  • Provide quality assurance awareness and maintenance procedures training to personnel to ensure that all staff have appropriate procedures awareness and support the development and revision of maintenance procedures to meet the changing regulatory and company requirements.
  • Instigates and/or Implements amendments in forms and company procedures and develops new as required to comply with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Instigates and/or Develops Quality Bulletins
  • Liaises with NAAs and Internal Stakeholders issues related to NAAs approvals keeps QA Management up to date with feedback/requests received.
  • Monitors and controls the NAAs fees payment approval process and maintains statistics for budgeting purposes.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager on implementing and monitoring the Organisation Approvals & Document Management System.
  • Manage non-conformances related to terms of approvals and Procedures.
  • Process applications to obtain AMO approval to support new business requirements.

Education & Experience

Qualifications and Education:
•    An appropriate aircraft maintenance license (ICAO) or an aeronautical degree.

Experience
•    Minimum of 10 years of aviation industry experience, including at least 5 years in Quality Assurance and hands-on experience in conducting investigations.
