R&D Chemist Intern
About this Position
This role is responsible for executing lab and data management activities to support product development in Laundry and Home Care categories. You will contribute to the creation, optimization, and implementation of formulations, support margin improvement initiatives, and act as a deputy to the Product Development Manager. The role supports cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Legal, R&D Operations) and ensures Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), safety compliance, and delivery of high-quality technical results.
What you´ll do
- Execute lab activities to evaluate and optimize product formulations.
- Plan and organize lab programs, ensuring timely sample and material preparation.
- Support implementation of cost-saving initiatives and formula margin improvements.
- Conduct tests and demos to demonstrate product advantage vs. competition.
- Ensure accurate sample handling and result documentation in consumer tests.
- Perform benchmarking and comparative testing of market alternatives.
- Prepare documentation and standard samples for product launches.
- Apply and maintain updated test methods and specifications.
- Report all lab results, ensure calibration, and maintain testing accuracy.
- Follow lab safety guidelines, dispose waste responsibly, and apply Good Lab Practice.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor’s or master’s in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge in formulation development and performance testing.
- Proficiency in lab documentation, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with SHE practices, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative team player.
