The Opportunity

If you join the Value Simulation Team as a Regional Value Consultant at Caterpillar, you will have the unique opportunity to focus on the development and deployment of Caterpillar’s Value Simulation Tool (VST) for dealers and regional Cat team members in the Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EAME) region. Through this position, you will be able to leverage and grow your skill sets related to marketing and communications, technical and professional knowledge, financial analysis, and software design and development.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and provide training for dealers and Caterpillar industry teams on how to leverage the Value Simulation Tool (VST) software during the sales and aftermarket process via live sessions; in-person and remotely.
  • Master and advocate VST’s capabilities which include deep financial analysis, machine and technology guided selection, fleet and site optimization, services growth and more.
  • Own and manage financial and fuel data for the EAME regions in VST.
  • Own and manage Caterpillar/competitive templates for EAME regions in VST.
  • Collaborate with business partners and the Value Simulation team to document and prioritize VST software enhancements and bug fixes. This includes dealers, Caterpillar marketing, product group, aftermarket teams, etc.
  • Mentoring opportunities for Caterpillar dealer and internal staff.
  • Travel for VST training events, user visits, and team meetings within the EAME region.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in sales, marketing, or product support.
  • Effective communication skills; fluent in English.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with diverse backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the construction/mining industry, machines, dealers, and customers.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to prioritize customer needs and satisfaction in business decisions and create customized solutions.
  • Value Selling: Ability to sell products, technology, and services by providing overall product/service ‘value’ and addressing customer needs.

Top Candidates Also Have:

  • Experience in industry applications and in machine fleet and site optimization.

Additional Information:

  • The role requires up to 40% of travel within the EAME region
