Join us as our Regulatory Affairs Manager  

Novonesis has recently agreed to acquire the DSM Firmenich of the feed enzyme alliance and will become the world’s leading biosolutions provider in animal health and nutrition (contingent on completion of the transaction). In this role, you will be the regional regulatory lead across the territory for our entire feed enzymes business. You will be responsible for all regulatory activities in the region including new product submissions to authorities, ensuring the timely renewal of existing registrations, and creating a business-aligned regional regulatory strategy for business expansion. You will work both with your global colleagues in Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety as well as cross-functionally to drive business growth in Middle East, India and Africa.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

  • Being responsible for leading the regulatory activities and deliverables in support of a regional project.
  • Being responsible for regulatory and safety compliance for products in the project for agreed intended uses and agreed markets.
  • Representing the industry on relevant regional trade organizations to promote Novonesis positions and future regulatory frameworks.
  • Representing Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety in the relevant activities and projects by providing regional regulatory input and ensures direct involvement of Product Safety where needed.
  • Advise project on regulatory strategy on market in scope (of the region) by collecting inputs and advise on market access and compliance on identified market.
  • Define the regulatory framework for the region where the product will be launched.
  • Align with Regulatory member of Portfolio Management Team when relevant.
  • Prepare a submission, registration, and renewal strategy of products within the region to gain and maintain market access for Novonesis.
  • Map data requirements and support the preparation of data needed for submission.
  • Provide input on product category and claims in priority markets within the region.
  • Review communication and marketing material, if relevant.
  • Regular user of the Veeva Regulatory data management system for dossier creation and management.
  • Owner of registration renewals within their region to secure business continuity.

Potentially relevant experience:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in the approval of feed additives in MEA, with focus on Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan
  • Minimum of BS degree in a relevant field – Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or other related Scientific disciplines
  • Fluency in Arabic (reading – writing – speaking) is a definite plus
