This is a UAE focused role. The role holder is accountable to assist with the Governance framework and reporting requirements for the UAE CCO. They will be required to coordinate, track, follow-up and chase for key Governance submissions, while driving efficiencies and timeliness in this space.

Reporting to the UAE Chief Control Officer, the role holder will assist in the day-to-day tasks of the UAE Chief Control Office liaising with UAE and market stakeholders in obtaining the relevant inputs into governance packs and reports. They will provide assistance and support in the drafting of senior engagement escalations, issue management, read across activity and loading of Helios inputs and updates as required.

The role holder will ensure accuracy, effectiveness and timeliness of cyclical and ad hoc input into Governance submissions, management information, and regulatory notifications. They will conduct the initial checks on the data and updates received and seek to understand and document changes in MI and risk profile over time periods.

We support our staff to adopt flexible and alternative ways of working where possible, including working from home and different hours subject to approvals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Collating, and aggregating timely MI and updates to facilitate the production of global governance committee packs on behalf of UAE CCO
•    Facilitate the collation of responses to queries and information requests from the senior management, regulators, and external agencies
•    Liaise with second line colleagues such as compliance, legal and regulatory affairs to coordinate responses to senior management and external organisations
•    Assist in the collation and aggregation of inputs and MIs to facilitate the production of the UAE First line reports into the relevant Governance committees as needed
•    Assist in coordinating inputs into key risk and controls forums and committees in the UAE, including overseeing collation of packs, ensuring timely submission from key stakeholders and inputters.
•    Support line manager to deliver ad-hoc projects/requirements
•    Support the UAE and MENAT CCO with various administrative tasks such as organizing meetings, creating agendas and meeting packs, taking minutes, and gathering responses on actions
•    Assisting in the management of the CCO Governance runway and tracker, ensuring deadlines are met and document owners deliver on time and to the appropriate standard

Requirements

 Experience & Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree is a must
•    Experience working in relevant environments (i.e., Risk, Transformation, Governance and Regulatory Reporting)
•    Experience working in relevant markets/context (i.e., UAE and DBS)
•    Role relevant qualifications, i.e., Risk or Compliance qualifications (desirable but not essential)
•    Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
•    Highly communicative and able to break summarise complex detail for senior stakeholders
•    Proven experience of motivating others to deliver high performance and long-term results
•    Experience of promoting and leading best practice in risk and compliance management in a similar organisation
•    Experience contributing to the implementation and monitoring of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
•    Excellent attention to detail and ability to appropriately feedback and drive improvement, consistency, and efficiency across various team
