Sales Consultant

Job Purpose

The Sales Consultant is responsible for managing the entire sales process, from prospecting to post-sales follow-up, while ensuring compliance with company policies. The role focuses on achieving sales and product targets, assisting customers with financing and insurance, and delivering excellent customer service to build long-term relationships. By meeting customer expectations and maintaining high levels of satisfaction, the Sales Consultant contributes to sales growth and a positive customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

Sales / Sales Process

  • Follow all stages of the sales process, including prospecting, meeting and greeting, consultation, presentation, demonstration, negotiation, gaining commitment, closure, delivery, and post-sales follow-up.

  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policy.

  • Liaise closely with other departments to complete the sales process efficiently.

  • Report daily activities to the Sales Supervisor/Manager.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, maximising profit from each transaction.

  • Maximise opportunities while maintaining and expanding the existing customer base.

  • Assist customers with finance and insurance products in line with their requirements.

  • Achieve targets for Accessories, In-house Insurance, and GAP Insurance.

  • Create effective sales-process-related videos for customers to meet Venta Vid targets.

  • Ensure targets for both internal and external Mystery Shopping programmes are met.

  • Follow up with customers in a timely manner.

  • Participate actively in sales meetings.

  • Achieve all KPIs set by management.

Customer Experience

  • Consistently meet customer expectations.

  • Manage follow-ups, deliveries, and new customer acquisition using effective time management.

  • Assist customers in selecting the right vehicle and build loyalty through a personalised, tailored sales experience.

  • Achieve Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) targets by delivering excellent customer service.

  • Ensure accurate collection and submission of customer information.

  • Build, grow, and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Ensure smooth, clean, and defect-free delivery of vehicles as promised to customers.

  • Carry out other related tasks as required.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

Work Experience

  • 2–3 years’ sales experience in the automotive or a related industry.
