Tax Intern-MEA KERING
Summary
We are a leading luxury retail company headquartered in France, with our regional headquarters in Dubai overseeing operations across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and South Africa. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Intern to join our Shared Services Finance Team.
About the Role
As a Tax Intern, you will work closely with our Tax Manager, Tax Coordinator, and Tax Administrator to support the team in managing tax compliance and governance across the region. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, cross-border tax environment within the luxury retail industry.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing audit files and drafting responses to tax authority inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Logistics, Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger) to gather required documentation.
- Support the governance and tracking of ongoing tax projects.
- Generate reports for routine tax filings such as VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT).
- Coordinate with external consultants on routine tasks including invoice and tax payments.
- Maintain internal trackers and update key performance indicators (KPIs) for the tax team.
What We’re Looking For
- Fresh graduate or with 1- 2 years of experience in Tax with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Interest in tax, compliance, and the luxury retail industry.
