Apply now for the position of Tax Lead to oversee and manage tax matters across the Middle East & Africa region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of tax policy and strategy in a rapidly evolving tax environment in close collaboration with MEA Zone Leadership Team. The position is primarily foreseen to be based in Dubai, UAE.

Your role:

  • You will manage direct and indirect tax matters, including corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing. Overseeing preparation and filing of all tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) in compliance with local regulations across MEA countries
  • You will provide expert guidance on international and cross-border tax matters, ensuring compliance with local and regional tax regulations.
  • You will identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks, stay abreast of evolving tax laws and regulatory changes across the Middle East and assess their impact on business operations.
  • You will develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while minimizing risks, aligned with business goals
  • You will collaborate with regional and global tax teams, finance, and legal departments to implement effective tax strategies. Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  • You will lead and act as the primary point of contact for discussions with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders to address tax risks and ensure compliance.
  • You will support M&A transactions, restructurings, and tax audits across multiple jurisdictions.
  • You will implement efficient tax processes and leverage technology to streamline tax operations and reporting.

Your expertise:

  • You bring several years of post-qualification tax experience
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of tax regulations in multiple MEA jurisdictions with a special focus on international and cross-border taxation.
  • You own Professional qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or a qualified lawyer with tax expertise.
  • You have a proven track record of managing Middle East tax regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • You possess excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders.
  • You have a fluency in Arabic and English in speaking, reading and writing.
