Role Purpose:

MENAT Wealth and Premier Solutions Senior Technical Product Manager role highly focusses on delivering distinctive value on strategic product iterative delivery within WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology MENAT region. Related skills for this role include but is not limited to strong knowledge around Cards and Loans Products, Vision Plus processing platform, Credit Control services including decision systems, Mobile and Internet Banking centric borrowing and servicing capabilities, Domestic and International Payments systems, Credit Bureau etc and conversant on various surround applications such as HUB, Staff Channels, Customer Channels, Data & Messaging, Utilities, Alerts, Operations, BI systems, external interfaces like Visa,

MasterCard, Central Bank Schemes, ATM and Payment networks etc. along with knowledge on products, features and services offered. This position involves regular interaction with IT and non-IT senior stakeholders and therefore requires strong techno-functional skills, stakeholder management and subject matter expertise across Lending/Payment Technology. In addition to this, the scale of the WPS portfolio across MENAT requires candidate with strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to empower and delegate as suitable. The role holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the function that has an overall, end-to-end responsibility for overseeing and providing leadership on all product capabilities and technical interdependencies as well as understanding and appreciating the Business needs and implications of lending products and systems. Overall knowledge about the features offered by the product suite, market dynamics and competitor products add value to the role to uplift the business capabilities in the geography. Support UAE VoC programme, a key pillar in the Global Customer Experience Programme .

•     Work as a technocrat in driving product planning, roadmap development, feature slicing, feasibility assessments, and high-level design of WPS MENAT systems or subsystems. Lead, govern, manage and deliver technology capabilities for WPS Tech MENAT as techno functional SVS Delivery manager.
•    Collaborate with business, technical architecture and other stakeholders to identify product / customer requirements, assess impacts to other data and systems, consider available technologies, perform cost-benefit study and recommend solutions, collaborating closely with the engineering team in building out new features.
•    Work with business entities, partners, and service providers in providing technical solutions best suited for business initiatives, and act as the key point of contact for the WPB WPS Technology Business in MENAT region.
•    Assess solution viability and recommend strategies and tactics to satisfy customer needs, championing and articulating the merit of each, defending in funding and prioritization both to IT and the Business.
•    Work with Group IT Product work streams and Architecture to align and adopt strategic platforms and products for regional deployments while adhering to the Group’s enterprise architecture, FIM and regulatory requirements.
•    Oversee execution of project delivery with respect to the achievement of the defined product roadmap and approved investment commitments.
•    Understand the budget assigned and work with the programme to raise and control change as necessary, through strong Change Management adherence.
•    Work with project working group and Steerco stakeholders, collaborate and influence senior management and business partners for all key programme plans, commitments, and changes.
•    Manage activities focused on the deployment of projects from requirements gathering, system design, quality assurance, cost control and implementation planning activities as well as post implementation activities.
•    Reliable, dependable individual, able to monitor and report on the product roadmap and intervene when projects go off track and additionally will also continually re-assess the likelihood of operational risk occurring for project deliveries. Proactively managing risk and issues to increase delivery assurance of WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology projects.
•    Ensure consistent Software Engineering, Software Deployments and Architecture Compliance within the region for all WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology Systems, holding teams to the highest standards as per Region and Group requirements.
•    Act in accordance with Group standards for methodology, technical design, and security. Review and ensure compliance of the processes / activities managed under responsibility with compliance requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

•     Act as the regional WPB Technical Product Owner and subject matter expert, accountable for initiatives within Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology organization across MENAT.
•    Representing MENA Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology within the Global forum, providing content relevant to the MENAT region.
•    Own the WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology products within multi-disciplinary agile teams to deliver excellent new products and/or iterations to existing products to meet user needs. Working in collaboration with the regional and Global Product Owners to ensure the best outcomes.
•    Create, own, and maintain the product backlog. Ensure the wider Technology team and business stakeholders understand the backlog and the prioritization method being applied.
•    Manage development and elaboration of product roadmaps in support of the business appetite.
•    Build and maintain effective business relationships across the global businesses and regional teams, understand key drivers and metrics, and effectively prioritize competing demands from several lines of business.
•    Provide IT expertise and consultancy to regional and global business for the long-term benefit of the Group regarding WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology.
•    Represent WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology at the Regional and Global forums for IT.
•    Stakeholders include senior representatives of WPB including lending IT, cross functional IT teams, business, operations, legal, marketing and compliance teams.
•    Professional relationship with global, regional and market third parties like third party service providers, regulatory bodies, Central banks including affiliates serving payment, card and ATM networks and service providers such as LTI, Infosys and Wipro.
•    Collaborate with business partners to establish governance and controls to manage the requirements gathering and business engagement. Leading on all key initiatives from the IT engagement
•    Build and maintain trusted relationship with regional business teams, understand key drivers and metrics, and effectively prioritize competing demands from a number of lines of business
•    Provide and lead in all areas related to IT, ensuring thorough consultancy and engagement with Stakeholders. Providing close oversight for Proof of Concepts, Idea creation, solution evaluation and clear choice options.
•    Gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements in line with Business strategy.
•    Partner to establish governance and controls and manage product planning, roadmap, requirements gathering, viability study and business engagement. Leading on all key initiatives from the IT engagement.
•    Add value by bringing in innovation based on market trend contributing to IT support for business growth in the region.
•    Drive collaboration across senior members of various WPB teams including Products, legal, compliance, regulatory governance etc. and Technical teams.
•    Agree program strategy, priorities and associated regional view of IT Value Stream Investment Plan (VSIP) / Strategic Planning Cycle (SPC) and assist Business with understanding and prioritizing initiatives
•    Define and get business buy in for product definition and delivery approach.
•    Build a culture of continuous improvement in customer experience and functionality deployment.
•    Work with business entities, vendors and service providers in providing technical solutions for business initiatives, and act as the key point of contact for the WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology Business.
•    Work with Group IT Product work streams and Architecture to align and adopt strategic platforms and products for regional deployments while adhering to the Group’s enterprise architecture, FIM and regulatory requirements
•    Oversee execution of project delivery with respect to the achievement of the defined product roadmap and approved investment commitments.
•    Reliable, dependable individual, able to monitor, track, and report the product roadmap and intervene when projects go off track.
•    Continually re-assess the likelihood of operational risk occurring for project deliveries. Proactively managing risk and issues to increase delivery assurance of WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology projects.
•    Define and own the business drivers for WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology products and define the business metrics that will track success.
•    Underpin the delivery and iteration of WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology services through effective analysis of qualitative and quantitative user data.
•    Keep continuously abreast of changes to user habits, preferences and behaviors across various platforms and their implications for successful delivery of WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology services.
•    Maintain and improve product function, efficiency, reusability, security, user experience, operational support and cost footprint
•    Ensure compliance with Group objectives, standards, policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, technical architecture, and business objectives. Keep unit personnel informed on matters affecting areas of responsibility.

Experience & Qualifications:

•     Graduation degree is REQUIRED– to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
•    Essential skills for this role include but is not limited to strong knowledge around Cards and Loans Products, Vision Plus processing platform, Credit Control services including decision systems, Mobile and Internet Banking centric borrowing and servicing capabilities, Domestic and International Payments systems, Credit Bureau etc and conversant on various surround applications such as HUB, Staff Channels, Customer Channels, Data & Messaging, Utilities, Alerts, Operations, BI systems, external interfaces like Visa, MasterCard, Central Bank Schemes, ATM and Payment networks etc. along with knowledge on products, features and services offered.
•    Graduate or higher qualification in an IT discipline with 10+ years of technology experience in WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology covering Cloud Foundry (PCF), Mule soft, Service monitoring, and dynamic/technical platforms in line with group future state architecture.
•    Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, strong understanding of modern API’s enablement, RESTful services, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, building services, technical product development, and project management
•    Experience of managing 3rd party vendor agencies and consultancies
•    Have experience working with Agile lifecycle, tracking and process management tools, e.g. Rally, JIRA
•    Ability to work in an unstructured and changing environment, competent at managing an ever-changing backlog and can pivot on strategy and priorities when business needs arise.
•    Working with requirements gathering and journey mapping, working directly with business stakeholders. Able to articulate how these requirements are elaborated and validated .
•    Owning, managing, and organizing requirements catalogues and processes.
•    Customer focused, results-based approach, able to deliver to deadlines.
•    Understanding of how the changing regulatory environment has impacts on the WPB Wealth and Premier Solutions Technology product design process.
•    Good knowledge of IT policies and practices combined with IT hardware, software, operations, and networks experience.
•    Excellent negotiation and diplomatic problem-solving skills to resolve issues across functional areas and between the organization and external parties.
•    Proven ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders, selectively communicating technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Excellent communication skills and an understanding of how to work with global teams to be effective across video conferencing, email, messaging, time zones .
•    Ability to influence teams to think “outside” the box and look at solutions/approaches outside traditional comfort zones.
•    Able to broker agreement between IT and the business in a tactful and non-aggressive way.
