Associate Vice President, Radiology Operations

JOB DESCRIPTION

The main purpose of the job is to coordinate, network and guide the operation of diagnostic imaging services across NMC Healthcare with the aim of optimising patient safety and experience, by delivering high quality, safe and efficient services and positioning the department for future growth in line with NMC Healthcare strategic goals.

The Associate Vice President, Radiology Operations has direct collaboration Internal and External with:

  • Internal: Hospital management teams, Central clinical team, Business development & funder relation teams, Central IT team, Laboratory & Precision Medicine teams
  • External: Diagnostic imaging suppliers / vendors Academic institutions e.g. MBRU, ADU, UAUE Other healthcare providers (as appropriate)

The Associate Vice President, Radiology Operations works with Chief Clinical Officer and with Clinical Leadership team along with Regional Operations Head (SVP) to effectively align the regional clinical services with NMC and Regulatory standards.  The Associate Vice President, Radiology Operations will support the operational team in designing, supporting, and implementing clinical strategy for the region

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage stakeholder relationships critical to drive and implement the centralisation of diagnostic imagingservices and to positionthe department for growth.
  • Drive the development and implementation of standardised modality procedure protocols for dosing and positioning across the company.
  • Drive the implementation of a centralised radiology platform and processes aimed at optimising operational efficiency and patientexperience.
  • Coordinate and supportcentralised radiology resourcing for the company.
  • Drive the implementation of quality assurance, governance, and regulatory compliance for diagnostic imagingservices.
  • Prepare and position diagnostic imaging services for growth across the region, both within the company and to external providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Certification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging or a Diploma (3 year duration) in Radiology
  • MRI and/or CT or relevant certification A post degree qualification in Business Administration or Health Care Management will be an advantage
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Radiographer

  • Quality management systems/standards

Experience

  • At least 10 years’ post qualification experience in Radiology with a minimum of 5 years’ management experience.
  • Multi-site management.
